METROARK AM 8 SILICONE FLUID is an aminoethylaminopropylfunctional polydimethylsiloxane for the application in all types of textile as textile finishing agent. METROARK AM 8 SILICONE FLUID is easily emulsifiable to a stable microemulsion by simple stirring and emulsion of METROARK AM 8 SILICONE FLUID is highly stable , compatible with resin and showed much better textile finishing performance.    Application  METROARK AM 8 SILICONE FLUID is particularly suitable as active substance in softener formulations for the impregnation of fibers and textiles. METROARK AM 8 SILICONE FLUID imparts a very soft, drapable, and elastic handle to woven and knitted fabrics. METROARK AM 8 SILICONE FLUID improves the wash-and-wear properties and the crease recovery angle, sewability and tear strength and reduces abrasion loss.  The effects are fast to washing and dry cleaning.  METROARK AM 8 SILICONE FLUID has little effect on the degree of white in a softener formulation when usual application conditions are adhered to. As a rule no adverse effect on the shade or colour fastness properties of coloured goods is observed.   On woolen fabrics and knit ware METROARK AM 8 SILICONE FLUID contributes to a reduction of shrinkage due to it´s high affinity to the substrate. As part of formulations used as fill fibre finish METROARK AM 8 SILICONE FLUID imparts excellent slickness and resilience to the fibre.    Processing  METROARK AM 8 SILICONE FLUID can be applied neat, from of solution or emulsion. Suitable solvents are aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, esters, higher alcohols, and ketones.  Most textile processes are waterbased. Hence METROARK AM 8 SILICONE FLUID is mainly applied from emulsion. METROARK AM 8 SILICONE FLUID is suitable for the formulation of microemulsions and macroemulsions.   METROARK AM 8 SILICONE FLUID can be use as sole active substance in softener emulsions or in combination with other components, e.g. paraffines, esters of fatty acids, etc. Compatability of the components has to be checked in each individual case.  Emulsions of METROARK AM 8 SILICONE FLUID are diluted to the optimum concentration for the specific fabric. Application can be done by padding or exhaustion.    Storage stablity  METROARK AM 8 SILICONE FLUID has a shelf life of at least 8 months if stored in originally sealed containers at 25° C.
